It is an honor to serve as Chief Executive Officer of Philip’s Academy Charter School of Paterson and to lead a vibrant community centered on the potential and promise of our young people.

As a product of urban public schools, a former professional athlete, and an educator, I have experienced firsthand the transformative power of opportunity and a quality education. That experience shapes my belief that every young person deserves an education that is equitable, rigorous, relevant, and engaging — in a school environment where they are known, championed, and challenged to reach their fullest potential.

The 2025–2026 school year marked an extraordinary milestone for Philip’s. Together, we celebrated 10 years of impact, continued strong academic growth, and proudly graduated our largest eighth-grade class to date. These accomplishments reflect the dedication of our young people, educators, families, Board, and community partners who have helped transform a vision into a thriving K–8 school grounded in equity, excellence, and love.

As we begin our second decade, we are excited to welcome 720 young people—our largest student body yet. Our focus for 2026–2027 is clear: better serve our families, accelerate student achievement through targeted and individualized support, and ensure every young person leaves Philip’s prepared for success in high school, college, career, and life.

We enter this next chapter committed to the values that have guided our first decade: leading with love, nurturing potential, pursuing continuous improvement, and producing results that matter.
